With a steaming mug of hot herbs in my quiet enclave, it is wisdom I seek.
When you know love in your own temple, you will see love in all other temples and places, of course y’all know this.
We pack up our suitcase and plan to embark on a highly anticipated pilgrimage to find truth, inspiration, and peace, only to get delayed or cancelled by forces seemingly beyond our control. We want to experience a place firsthand; the holiness of a mela, festival, powwow, or ceremony filled with joyous song and dance; heavenly landscapes with mystical wells, springs, rivers, trees, peaceful gardens, majestic mountains; the exaltation of a mosque, shrine, cathedral, synagogue, temple, stupa, or sanctuary; to behold megaliths, stones, and other ancient earth sculptures; the power of a mausoleum, tomb, monument, pyramid, catacomb, or reliquary. While I can’t go in body at this moment, with the spirit willing, I can sure go in my mind. In my library I’ve two wonderful books that take me all over the world…National Geographic’s 500 Sacred Places of a Lifetime, and Parragon/Herbert Genzmer’s 100 Sacred Places.
Global travel that checks body, mind, soul enrichment is indeed amazing. However, it does us well to remember that the greatest of all temples and places is our very own body temple, the very first temple brought into form the sages tell us; a full and complete body temple that houses divine love which is the basis for everything, has all the answers, knows all things, knows the truth and is where we find peace. Furthermore, the wise tell us that there never was a temple built like this Temple of Divine Love, no temple built with hands can compare to our own ever renewing Body-Temple of Divine Love.
First visit your heart in your own body temple, know this place of divine love, truth, and inspiration then you will see love in all, then…
Visit a hubcap museum.
