With a steaming mug of hot lemon water near my yoga mat, it is flexibility I seek.
If we could fly, then we would fly and absolutely should fly if only we’d do it, of course y’all know this.
They fly. Fairies fly with a little help from pixie dust. Fairy God Mothers fly with wands. Gargoyles & dragons fly with wings. Those like Harry Potter & Broom-Hilda fly with brooms. Samantha twitches her nose. Superman has his cape, the Flying Nun has her habit and Mary Poppins her umbrella.
Admittedly, I’ve only seen these “flyers” on the silver screen, enough to fuel my imagination in spades… what if I could fly? Would I need a pair of magic bloomers.
I look up and see birds fly, and what once was thought far-fetched, now all kinds of these objects are flying… what if I could fly? Would I need a halo turbo prop?
Recently I read “Lighter Than Air” by Anna Jordan & Rodney Charles (c) 1995, another gem from a library collection of inspiring, awesome metaphysical & spiritual books I inherited from my beloved mother. It would seem that history is full of amazing souls that took to flight without props.
Love is so light, so beautiful, that true love makes you feel like you’re floating. So, I imagine with more love my body would get lighter, so light, till I lift off in absolute joy to infinity and beyond, OK, well, maybe I’d start with a trip to the corner market.
Oh no, what if way up in the clouds I’m so ecstatic, I’m not payin’ my mind any mind, and I collide with another free spirit and them, me, or we plummet to the earth?
Well how would I know? My lead butt has been keepin’ me grounded!
