With a steaming mug of hot herbs in my quiet enclave it is wisdom I seek.
Love is coming to town, and since love only knows good, than we better be good for goodness’ sake… of course y’all know this!
Love only knows good — bad’s not on love’s radar — so on Santa’s naughty and nice lists, the only list getting recognized is the nice list. This is because good or nice things, behaviors, attitudes, beliefs etc. is essentially a benevolent energy field attracting to itself that which is like itself, love. I suppose this would really mean love is already in town and at the same time Love is coming to town.
What does this town look like? In the city love knows when you’re awake and so we find the courageous, enterprising, and the heroic dealing with life’s happenings head on. The caring village can be seen all around us not pouting but engaged in the sincere acts of kindness and compassion, from the wonderful big organization right down to the individual lending a hand and every bit of love in-between. A community’s love can be measured in beauty, by how many stop and smell the gorgeous flowers and pause in appreciation when there’s something amazing to behold in a nice cry of joyfulness.
The understanding that it’s a whole lot of very simple loving acts moment to moment should keep you on the nice list year-round.
“With rooty toot toots and rummy tum tums” (from Santa Claus is Coming to Town) we know that the good in a lump of coal was to give warmth to the home. Actually lumps can lead to extraordinary discoveries that benefits all mankind, to example the early 1900’s Max Planck’s hot body studies and lumpy oatmeal.
The beach reveals how many former lump-less hot (or not) bodies now have lumpy bodies. All I want for Christmas is NO MORE LUMPY THIGHS! What’s in your stocking?
This has been a deb’s witty ditty on deb’s ditty blog.
