With a steaming mug of hot lemon water near my yoga mat, it is flexibility I seek.
Love by any other name is still love, of course y’all know this.
Our senses; seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and feeling run through our mind, which we generate ideas about, in order for us to experience the world. The world, our world, becomes a collection of thoughts based on our chosen beliefs and attitudes that create our state of mind, negative is an absence of love, or positive, which is love.
If we want to change our world so that we are happy, if not perpetually, at least more often, then we must be aware of what’s on our mind and change those non-loving thoughts which are painful, damaging and destructive.
Love is letting go of fear, despair and guilt. Love is releasing obsessiveness and anger. Love is forgiving pride and judgement. Love is an honest pardoning of negativity.
Love is the playful laughter on a warm summer breeze. Love is the song a heart sings with each new gracious insight. Love is the quiet space in the midst of complicated. Love is the magnanimous beauty of the world. Love smells delightful and tastes perfect. You can name your love.
Sometimes at any given many-people event, there can be an obnoxious jerk who casts a dark shadow over an otherwise festive affair, possibly setting off a rather lengthy judgmental tirade…an ass by any other name is still an ass!
Have you ever noticed how sometimes it feels painful to find giving in the selfish, kind in the mean, honor in the liar, or good in the bad? Till perhaps we remember that they’ve forgotten love, and then we remember the times we’ve forgotten love. Remembering love calms our senses and makes us more empathetically compassionate…yet, sometimes…dang, there’s still rebelliously demanding thoughts forgettin’ to leave our world…just go already!
