With a steaming mug of hot white tea in my cozy cogitative corner, it’s understanding I seek.
Your life, your song, you always get to choose the key, of course y’all know this.
It has been said many ways that a life without love is no life at all. Sometimes if, when we are exposed to disturbing headlines of so many disasters whether natural or man-made, it might lead us to believe that the whole world is out of sync with love.
It has been said many ways that love gives life meaning. However, if our world is difficult and we’re in another predicament, there’s stress and little love, an overabundance of sour notes, a cacophony assaulting us at every turn, it might lead us to believe that life perpetually out of harmony is somehow natural.
It has been said many ways that love is global. Love doesn’t see in colors, races, cultures, religions, continents, countries or nations. We are talking about unconditional love, always looking for the good in everyone and everything. An epic composition whose notes blissfully converge into our life’s magnum opus, which is obviously in the key of love. However, it just hasn’t happened for us yet.
To start writing our life in the key of love, first thing is to choose more love, to choose a more loving life and to be willing to make the necessary efforts, no matter how small the step, towards that ideal score. All great orchestrations are enjoyed one measure of notes at a time and so you might as well enjoy one bar at a time.
For those sections that are out-of-tune, not love, and should not be a part of our song, well, happily those offending notes can be erased, forgiven, as if they had never been, then just put in those colorful, warm love notes.
Now add an interesting meter, a spicy tempo, an exotic rhythm and voila…perfection.
