With a steaming mug of cinnamon vanilla tea in my cozy cogitative corner, it is understanding that I seek.
As a thinker you get to choose what, when, where, how and why seed-thoughts to think because you’re the master gardener, of course y’all know this.
Again, gotten self into a fine kettle of fish; botched the interview, blew another opportunity, made a shamble of a recipe, there’s been a major upset in a certain relationship and the garden is completely disheveled. Not wanting an entangled weedy life or garden for that matter, I recall the words of James Allen “nothing can come from corn but corn, nothing from nettles but nettles”, written over a hundred years ago in his short treatise AS A MAN THINKETH for every thinking man and woman. All thinkers are included as he thoughtfully expands on the aphorism “as a man thinketh in his heart so is he”.
To become a master horticulturist, one must carefully oversee the cultivation of the mind garden, for, “we ourselves are makers of ourselves by virtue of the thoughts we choose and encounter”. What to think…what to think…hmm. Well, to get started I highly recommend this read by James Allen, who covers the effects of thoughts on character, circumstances, health, body, purpose, achievement, visions, ideals and serenity. After twenty-five years or so it was time for me to re-read this timeless and always relevant little gem cover to cover.
Of course, deb’s witty ditty blog is about love, so you know I’m gonna say it…As a man, and you know this means woman too, thinketh love so ye be! How can you not be? If always and only we used unconditional love in all we thought, said and did, why we’d be a very lush, beautiful, colorful, abundantly fruitful, profitable yielding garden indeed!
Uh oh, how did this invasive, thorny, creeper vine take over my lovely flower bed so quickly? Oh manure!
This has been a deb’s witty ditty on deb’s ditty blog.
