With a steaming mug of hot herbs in my quiet enclave … it is wisdom I seek!
Love power vs willpower … love power will win every time, of course y’all know this.
While a new year can signal that it is time to make needed changes in our lives, the love power to do any thing is in the present moment, now. Knowing the proper time is always this instant, means we no longer have to wait for later, because now is always perfect. Now that we know now, is the time, how do we motivate ourselves?
Willpower is the ability to control one’s own actions, emotions, or urges (Merriam Webster). Our will, being the faculty by which a person decides on and initiates an action. No matter if it’s a need or a desire that motivates us, it is still coming from inside of us. Certain mental states of desires may override our mental state of intention and both of these states may be trumped by our strong beliefs of what we should or shouldn’t do, which could explain why willpower doesn’t necessarily work to stop us from being an alcoholic, an addict, or get us to lose weight, to exercise more, and the list goes on.
The quickest, most successful way to change unwanted behaviors is to consciously choose to live from the contest of your heart; this divine love provides motivation and meaning to our thoughts and desires.
I highly recommend listening to Lester Levenson’s (Sedona/Release Method) talks on Willpower & Releasing. Lester clearly explains that so long as we have a mind and think, that our thoughts are creating everything in our life. When we let go of the negative, harmful, and unwanted thinking and express our infinite will, I believe we are expressing our love power and are in a love state of mind!
Whether a New York, health, or pickle-ball state of mind … let love reign.
